In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, when many were betting on bot development for e-commerce platforms, Ocular decided to innovate and bring face-to-face interaction between people to e-commerce sites. This revolutionary idea has just caught the attention of a US-based fund in Miami, which has just invested US$ 1 million in the company to continue scaling.

The video-commerce platform of

Ocular

, which works as Software as a Service (SaaS), allows companies to install it in their digital sales channels and have an assistant to make video calls with users in case they have questions.

In addition, the company can know how many and which products were purchased thanks to the video call, making Ocular a leading video-commerce platform in the market.

The idea for Ocular came from a personal problem of its co-founder, Fernando Moya, who had a software development startup and realized that to sell he had to schedule in-person meetings. That's when he considered the possibility of serving customers within the website, instantly and much faster.

The capital received by Ocular will be used for expansion to 11 new markets, adding to the nine countries where they are already present, including Chile and Mexico. The goal is to strengthen growth throughout the region and become the number one platform in Ibero-America. The company also seeks to open Spain and Miami this year and explore other regions of the United States. In parallel, Ocular seeks to integrate blockchain into the platform to protect the data of conversations between users and clients.

Today, the company has about 60 companies in its portfolio, including big names such as Salcobrand, Grupo Monge, OLX, Steren, Banregio, Entel Lider BCI Servicios Financieros. In summary, Ocular is an innovative company that has found in face-to-face interaction between people the solution to improve the online shopping experience. With the investment received and its expansion plan, Ocular positions itself as the leading video-commerce platform in Ibero-America and the world.
